Convert a lead into a job — atomically.

From a lead, hit Convert. DispatchIO creates the customer (or matches one by phone), spins up a job, and locks the lead so two dispatchers can't double-create it.

  1. 1Open the lead and click Convert to job.
  2. 2Pick or create a customer — DispatchIO suggests matches by phone.
  3. 3Set the service, time window, and assigned tech, then Save.

Dispatch a tech to the field.

When you assign a tech, DispatchIO texts them a tokenized portal link. They tap it and see today's stops, addresses, customer notes, and a one-tap call button — no app to install.

The softphone lives in a corner dock available from every page. Click any customer's phone number to dial, accept incoming calls without leaving the job, and replay recordings from the calls list. Set up smart routing once and forget it.

  1. 1Settings → Calls: pick a routing strategy (parallel, round-robin, or linear hunt).
  2. 2Per-user ring mode: browser, cell, or both. Configure once per teammate.
  3. 3Every call records automatically. Replays attach to the customer card.

Send an invoice and take payment.

When a job hits Pending close, DispatchIO drafts the invoice from the line items the tech captured. One click sends a Stripe checkout link the customer can pay from their phone.

  1. 1From the job, click Generate invoice — line items pull from the tech's quote.
  2. 2Send via SMS or email. The customer pays from a Stripe-hosted page.
  3. 3Payment auto-reconciles back to the job and closes it.

Frequently asked questions.

How long does setup take?
About 30–60 minutes. Connect your business phone for SMS, point a forwarding email at your DispatchIO inbox, add your team and price book — then you're live.
Do my technicians need to install an app?
No. They get a tokenized link via SMS and use the tech portal in their phone's browser. Works on any phone.
How does inbound SMS work?
We provision a Twilio number for your business. When a customer texts it, the message becomes a Lead in real time, with the customer's number and full message body.
How do you handle payments?
Stripe. Customers pay through hosted checkout links, you keep the relationship, and payments reconcile back to the job automatically.
Can two dispatchers convert the same lead by accident?
No — conversion is atomic at the database level, and the lead detail shows a 'currently being viewed by Bob' indicator if a teammate has it open.
Does it work for multiple brands or metros?
Yes. DispatchIO is built for multi-brand operations — you can run several phone numbers, inbound emails, and team rosters from one account.
